Hugo-Häring-Award

The BDA (Association of German Architects) Stuttgart has awarded the 16 Stations joint project, which was part of the Remstal Horticultural Show 2019. Each of the municipalities had a pavilion designed by a German architect and then erected by local construction companies.
We designed a small, peaceful place in the community of Böbingen: A bright white roof is suspended in the middle of the forest, a white gravel field tracing its outline on the ground, marking an abstract space - enigmatic, attractive and open to visitors on all sides.
Next year, the award-winning project will take part in the award procedure for the Hugo-Häring State Prize.

16 Stations

For the horticultural show Remstal 2019, the adjacent 16 municipalities stage the landscape along the river Rems on a length of 80 kilometers.
The exhibition shows the designs for 16 different architectural interventions that translate the character of each location and, together with the landscape, create distinct places. In the tradition of southern German chapels, the projects are painted white.
We have created a peaceful place in a wooded area of the municipality of Böbingen: In the middle of the forest floats a bright white roof, which with an equally white gravel field on the forest floor spans an abstract space – enigmatic, attractive, and open to visitors on all sides.
