School Centre Southwest, Nuremberg Read more

The school center of the Sigmund-Schuckert-Gymnasium and the Peter-Henlein-Realschule will move into a new building, that will be erected step by step in place of the existing building from the 1970s while the school continues to operate. The site is situated on the edge of a wooded area and is defined by its large trees. With several staggered structures, the new building maintains the quality of the green surroundings. Five buildings of different heights mediate between the school center and the smaller residential buildings to the south. A central community building with a break hall, auditorium, and project rooms forms the heart of the school. From there, the two schools with schoolhouse and gymnasium develop as distinct units to the sides. The new building is a zero or plus energy building.
