The three departments of the center are designed as independent volumes of different heights that are placed on a common base. An open stair hall connects all three departments. The green courtyards and terraces define the building’s atmosphere and offer additional areas for recreation and communication. To respond to the changing requirements of the research groups, laboratories, and office spaces were planned as highly flexible areas.
